KOKOPELLI'S WORLD

~ THE WANDERING WONDERING FERTILE FLUTE PLAYER ~

Hello, on the net I am known as RBoots or Kokopelli. My name is Richard Kizer and I am of the Moose family also. This page is to present and introduce myself to you. I am a fifty-five year old retired electrician with time on my hands. So I have been writing my thoughts, opinions, things I wonder about, pithy sayings I thought of, and a poem. I am not a poet.

The things that interest me are many and varied. I have many hobbies, like reading, dancing, eating out, movies, shooting pool and following this cyber cosmos and building pages. I enjoy Anne McCaffery's books about a fantasy planet named Pern. The first book of this series is "Dragon Riders of Pern". The telepathic, teleporting dragons mind bond with their human partner for life. Anne creates very good heros and heroines and exciting dastardly foes. I also like Mercedes Lackey and her series about a fantasy country named Valdemar. The first book of that series is "Magic's Price". My favorite book is "The Grapes of Wrath" by John Stienbeck. If you have not yet read this classic, I think you should. My second favorite is the "Hobbit" and "The Trilogy of the Ring" by J. R. R. Tolkien.

In my lifetime, so far, I have followed many interest into the work place. I was at times a roofer, a printer (old style hot type Linotype machinist), a semi-pro bowler, a farmer (joke), A prison corrections officer and a state auto inspector. Mostly, however, I was an electrician. I wired things almost any where you could think of. I wired new houses and old manufacturing machines. I wired oil fields and all their equipment including that little light way up there on the top of the triple. It is amazing what we will do to feed ourselves.

One of the things I did that brought me most satisfaction was volunteering as a firefighter. It gave me an outlet to help my community and allowed me to wear neat clothes, drive the big red firetruck and blow the siren. I was also an EMT on our rescue squad. I coached the young people in our neighborhood in sports. I coached seven years in boys football, baseball, basketball and soccer. I coached various girls teams in softball and soccer. It was time well spent and I learned at least as much as I taught.

I also have two daughters I'd like you to know. The oldest is a twenty-one year old Native American Osage named Brandy. There is something magical about your first born. She is beautiful, wonderful and the very capable mother of twin sons of one year. She is very busy. She is known on the net as Osage18 and Airdnaxela. My other daughter is ten years old, very long red hair and of course also beautiful. She is far along in learning karate, and is an honors student. Danielle is not yet on the net, but we are working on it. I am quite proud of both my girls and my grandsons. I am also in awe that I was involved in the miracle of their life. I also have two adopted sons, Robby and Darrel Kizer. They are fine young men and I am proud of the way they handle their lives. I wish I could say it was because of my influence, but it was not. Their mother, Mary Lou, did a wonderful job raising them.

"KOKOPELLI & THE BUTTERFLY"

Recently I ran accross a link that caught my attention and fascinated me. I found another Kokopelli, this one with a Butterfly. It is a book site by the author Michael Sterns. It is a coffee table book directed primarily towards children, but is so beautifully and well done all can enjoy it. It teaches the beauty of our environment and how best to maintain and preserve our earth. I highly recommend Michael's book to any of you who have children and any who are concerned with environmental welfare. ~ I have had one experience with a near death phenomenon and I thought I'd share it here. If this makes you uneasy I understand. It is difficult to come to grips with things outside our normal five senses. I can offer nothing other than this is my true statement of what I saw and felt. If it helps you I am happy with that. I wish my daughters Brandy and Dani to know of this. ~

~ Tissi wrote this poem, an epic, in 1998 and I posted it in 1999. There were some mistakes in my posting and I have redone it and posted it on a single page. This one page is my favorite page on all the net. This poem is I think on a par with the Edgar Allen Poe poem of "The Raven". I believe The Qata's talent is that quality. I am proud to know this lovely little one and call her friend. ~
